Need help signing in?

Abel checks your sign-in against three assurance levels. Here's what each one means, and which secure eID methods are available today.

Sign-in levels

Level 2 Email and password, or a synced passkey

Basic access — enough to sign in and manage your account, but not to view clinical records.

Level 3 A continuity state, not something you choose

You can't sign in at Level 3 directly. It happens automatically: once a Level 4 session (below) has lasted longer than 48 hours, Abel steps it down to Level 3 — rather than signing you out — if you've enrolled a passkey on this device and used it during that session.

Level 4 Strong eID

Verified with a national secure eID. Required for clinical access — viewing health records, messaging a clinician, and similar.

Forgot your password?

Choose Email and password on the sign-in screen, then Forgot password? — we'll send a code to the email address or phone number registered on your account.

If your account is secured with a secure eID, you may not receive a reset code: the eID is the stronger way in, so a code sent to an inbox would only weaken it. Sign in with the method below instead. Once you're in, you can set a new password from Settings.
